Gender Equality in Humanitarian Action

Purpose

20 JUNE 2008 -- This Policy Statement sets out actions to be taken by the IASC to ensure gender equality, including throughwomen’s empowerment, is fully incorporated in all IASC work towards more effective and coherent humanitarian action. This policy statement builds on the IASC 1999 Policy Statement for the Integration of a Gender Perspective in Humanitarian Assistance.
